I’m ready to celebrate!

I’m celebrating Christmas again this year. Nothing has changed. I’ve been celebrating Christmas for over 50 years.

My parents helped me get started years ago. We’ve always set up the Christmas tree sometime in December. We’ve alway sent out the Christmas cards sometime in December. I’ve always celebrated Christmas, and I’m going to celebrate it again this year.

There are those political correct people who suggest that I say “Happy Holidays” this time of year.

Hey if they want to celebrate all the holidays, more power to them. Those PC guys must be real party animals.

Me? I do hope everybody’s holidays are happy, but I don’t celebrate everybody’s holidays. I haven’t celebrated ‘em in the past. Can’t imagine why I would start now. Why would I hold a fake celebration if I didn’t really mean it. That would be disrespectful of me. No, I celebrate according to what I believe, and I happen to believe in celebrating the birth of my savior Jesus Christ.

Hey I respect everybody else’s holidays. I respect their beliefs. As a matter of fact, I believe everyone should believe in something or someone.

And I am especially happy and thankful that we live in a country where everybody can celebrate their beliefs in peace.

So let the celebrations begin.

As for me and my family?

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

We’ve all had them. They are that tiny feeling you get that you should do something right now, but then we don’t. It’s that urge to pick up the phone and call mom. It’s the tiny voice inside telling us to send that sympathy or thank you card, but again, life gets in the way and we never get to it.

Think of the difference it would have made if only we would have taken the time to pen that card or pick up that phone.

Author Kody Bateman tells us his life-changing story about why he no longer ignores those promptings.

Promptings is an inspiration-filled book that helps us all listen to that tiny voice and take action. It is filled with many short stories and examples of that tiny voice and why it should be heeded all the time.

Bateman teaches us that your tiny voice is always right and it almost always is trying to get you to do something that will positively impact someone else.

If we will just listen to, and act on, those promptings, we will not only help make someone elses day, we will methodically change our own lives for the better as well. You will enjoy Promptings!

Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist by Michael J. Fox

If I can do it, so can you. Of all the very intimate stories and poignant moments in this book, the over riding moral of Michael J. Fox’s book is that you can’t let life’s obstacles keep you from doing what you want.

Fox delves into many of the obstacles that have come his way since his original Parkinson’s diagnosis. And he has certainly had many to overcome.

Micheal shares many of his life’s stories, including entertaining tidbits about his encounters with celebrities like Mohammed Ali, Robin Williams and more.

Some will make you laugh and yes, some will bring the tears.

But overall “Alway Looking UP” is a very enjoyable read that heavily emphasizes the power of the positive attitude.

And for those who know me, positive attitude is everything!
Enjoy this great read.
